::Ric & Allegra Haupt::

Ric, Allegra & Ben
Ric and Allegra Haupt live in Amherst, close to the university, with their two year old son, Benjamin. In addition to serving on the staff of UMass Cru, Ric loves biking and running, reading American history, working on home projects and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Ric has a BA from Penn State University, an MA in Philosophy from Talbot (L.A.), and is currently working on a Masters of Divinity through Gordon-Conwell. Allegra loves hiking and walking, reading fiction, being with people, hazelnut gelato, brightly-colored walls and flowers. She has a BA from Swarthmore College, and was formerly an elementary teacher. Plus we have a cool story of how God put us together, which we would love to share with you at some point.

We look forward to meeting you and you meeting our family. We're convinced students are an intricate element to the fufillment of God's purposes so that's why we've been doing campus ministry longer than we want to admit. We've been living in Amherst since 1990. Pete grew up outside of Detroit, Michigan and at Eastern Michigan University began to walk with the Lord and see how God could use him in the lives of other students. Betsy became a Christian in high school outside of Cincinnati, Ohio. At the University of Tennessee she saw her life being multiplied though other students that she discipled. We both came on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ separately and fell in love leading a summer project to Russia.

Our main claim to fame is our family of five kids Ashley, Brittany, Cody, Dustin and Ethan. Yes, it is A,B,C,D, and E. Very sophisticated right! We love to have students over to our house and look forward to having as many of you over as possible. We are very accessible with our home a half block from the Southwest Resident Halls.

We focus primarily at UMass, just a few years ago our family spent a year in Central Asia. We have a passion for overseas ministries and look forward to going when ever the opportunity arises.
::Joe & Jenny Chau::

Joe and Jenny Chau
Hi! Thanks for dropping by the UMassCru website. Let's see... our bio... well, Joe was born in Hong Kong and Jen was born in Taiwan. Joe moved to the Long Island (NY) for 2nd grade, and Jen moved to Brooklyn, NY for 6th grade. Joe is a complete geek and has a BS in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute to prove it. Jen has a BS in Computer Engineering from Polytechnic University. She did not enjoy her major very much, but it has proven very helpful in relating with her husband. When not doing something geeky or working with Crusade, Joe enjoy reading, racquetball, computer games, and outdoor activities like biking, camping and hiking. Jen's pretty convinced that Joe likes the gear more than the activities. Jen's not really sure what she enjoys and has tried, singing, dancing, knitting, quilting, gardening, to name a few things. What they both really do enjoy is sharing the love of Christ with others, the joy of the wonderful family that God has given them, and movies (though there seems to be a difference of opinion as to what a good movie is).

Lydia(3), Priscilla(2) and Nathan(4mo) are the apple(s) of their eye(s), and keep them very busy. Very amused, but very busy.

Joe and Jen can be reached on facebook.
::Brad & Julie Wagner::

Joe and Jenny Chau
Brad and Julie Wagner are the sleep-deprived new parents of Lucy, born on August 19th.  They moved to Amherst just over a year ago from beautiful Boulder, CO.  Brad is a Boulder native, so needless to say, he loves skiing and the great outdoors.  When he’s not outdoors, he can usually be found playing the piano, reading, or working on the house.  Brad attended the University of Northern Colorado.  Julie grew up near Kansas City, MO and attended Truman State University.  She’s passionate about cooking, organizing anything and everything, and the water (she’s a certified scuba diver and teaches swim lessons in her spare time).  They both enjoy watching old episodes of Friends, traveling (especially to historic places), and being parents to Lucy.
